Elements with names from Swedish
Sweden punches above its weight in element etymology. The village of Ytterby and its feldspar mine alone gave names to four rare-earth elements (yttrium, terbium, erbium, ytterbium), and holmium takes its name from Holmia, the Latin form of Stockholm.
