Elementos con nombres del Greek
Las raíces griegas forman la mayor fuente individual de nombres de elementos. Palabras como hydro (agua), chloros (verde pálido), argos (perezoso), kryptos (escondido) y helios (sol) dieron forma a cómo los químicos nombraban los nuevos descubrimientos desde finales del siglo XVIII en adelante.
